China Glaze Winter Berry - swatches and review

I haven't worn red for a while now so I thought it was about time I did ;)
Here is a lovely classic deep red from last year. I give you... Winter Berry! :)

In daylight

Full hand in daylight

In halogen light

Remember this...? ;)

 GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Cream with a hint of jelly.

Colour: A deep red with blue undertones.

Collection: China Glaze Let it Snow Holiday Collection 2011.

Opacity: Good! This is two coats. There's a hint of VNL so it could do with a third coat, but two is just fine too (especially if you're just as lazy as I ;))

Drying time: Normal.

Formula: Good! It's rather thin but it stays where you want it to if you don't apply it too thick. It has a bit of a jelly quality but I'd say it's more cream than jelly ;)

Brush: Ok. A bit thin but firm so it's quite easy to work with.

Shine: Very shiny on its own but I have one coat of Seche Vite in these pictures.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Red polishes are generally hard to capture and so is this one. The most accurate picture is the full hand in daylight. The others have a bit too much yellow undertones in them. This is NOT a red/orange polish. This is a red/blue polish. But it's RED, not blueish or purpleish ;)
Does this explanation make any sense at all to you...?!?! ;)

Grade
: 4/5 :D

I don't wear a lot of reds but this is a polish with a great shade of red AND with good qualities!
A classic deep red which should should be found in every womans make-up bag ;)
This would be a great polish for your Christmas manicure too! :D
